303D2 Drinking Fountain
Out side Fusciardi Ice Cream Parlour this public drinking fountain stood in two other locations nearby before being moved to this sea-facing square in 2000 as part of a thorough restoration. The historical structure dates from 1865 and was paid for by Elizabeth Curling, a local resident. The stone plinth supports a cast iron fountain topped with a gas lamp, a replica of which has been reinstated, supported on two cast iron dolphins. Decorative elements include panels with Biblical inscriptions and fasces.
